Halal Summer Course 2024 in Collaboration with SAMI
The Halal Summer Course 2024, organized by the Halal Science Center, IPB University, in collaboration with SAMI (Sustainable Agrifood Management in Indonesia), was successfully held from July 1–12, 2024, in a hybrid format. This program aligns with the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative, supporting IKU 6 by fostering collaborations with Top 100 QS by Subject universities worldwide. With the theme “Advancing Halal Sustainability through Digital and Financial Innovation,” the course explored strategies for strengthening the halal industry through technology, excellence, and ecosystem development.
Highlights of Halal Summer Course 2024:
Lectures and discussions on halal certification, digitalization in the halal industry, financial technology for halal businesses, and sustainability in halal supply chains
Online webinars and case studies featuring experts in halal science, agrifood management, and finance
Industry and institutional visits to key halal-related organizations and companies, such as Halal Product Assurance Body (BPJPH), PT Beta Pharmacon (Karawang), and PT MGM Bosco Logistic (Bekasi)
Assignments and Q&A sessions to enhance engagement and critical thinking
Collaboration with SAMI for the Essay Contest 2024, encouraging participants to present innovative ideas on halal sustainability
Awarding and Closing Ceremony
