ABOUT SAMI

The SAMI Summer Course has been conducted seven times since 2017, aiming to enhance institutional competitiveness, expand global networks, and provide cross-cultural learning experiences. The program supports education internationalization through cross-country collaboration.

Yes! All participants who complete the program will receive a Certificate of Participation from IPB University.

Participants of SAMI 2025 will have the opportunity to visit five field locations:

  • Smart Sustainable Agromaritime (Harapan Island, Kepulauan Seribu)

  • Integrated Sustainable Food System (PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, Jakarta)

  • Supply Chain Management in the Milk Industry (PT Frisian Flag Indonesia, Jakarta)

  • Botanic Gardens: Contribution to the SDGs (Bogor Botanical Garden, Bogor)

  • Innovative Technology for Sustainable Future (Science Techno Park IPB, Bogor)

Yes! We offer scholarship opportunities for outstanding applicants based on the quality of their submitted essay. 

Selected applicants who receive the scholarship will be exempted from the registration fee and can join SAMI Summer Course for free.

  • $150 USD → Online Course Only (2 credits)

  • $250 USD → Online Course + Field Visits (3 credits)

Yes, participants can earn academic credits that may be converted to their home institutions, depending on their university’s policies.

Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on the quality of their submitted essay. The evaluation criteria include:

  • Clarity & Coherence
