IPB University is one of the fast growing universities in Indonesia. Management Study Program was established in 2000 as a part of Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM), IPB University to respond the growing demand of management competences in almost every sector of life. Management Study Program of Bogor Agricultural University is one of reputable program which has started to focus its learning, research and other academic activities on the issues of Small Medium Enterprises (SME).

The establishment of the Department of Management at the Faculty of Economics and Management of IPB seeks to support the achievement of IPB’s objective of becoming an international standard university which understands the consequences of economic globalization and is more sensitive to environmental needs by responding to challenges of developing science and technology and provide a more responsive education to the needs of the community.

Currently, the Management Department has four departments/divisions that are authorized in scientific development, namely the Division of Marketing Management, Financial Management, Production and Operations Management and Human Resources and Organizational Management. The Department of Management, along with the Bachelor of Management Program, also organizes the Major Postgraduate Program in Management Science.
